Andrew Potocnick

Andrew Potocnick

Andrew Potocnik has been woodworking scene in 1983. He won outright first prize in the State-wide Woodturning Competition in Victoria. Since then his work has developed into areas of sculpture, furniture making and objects. During this time he has continued to work as a full-time secondary school teacher, sharing knowledge and discoveries with students and the wider public via his writings. His work is now held in various private and public collections throughout the world.

Wendy Jagger

Wendy Jagger

Wendy Jagger is inspired by the austere beauty of rugged, Australian landscapes and native flora. Her field drawings are further developed in the studio into paintings or they are transformed into translucent, relief images within the Southern Ice porcelain vessels she creates on the pottery wheel. Wendy has created a limited range of products specifically for TWMA and are only available at TWMA.

Diana Williams

Diana Williams

Australian artist Diana Williams' work draws on traditional porcelain techniques and her own imaginative and technological experimentation. From the beauty and delicacy of her early porcelain paintings to her current exciting work with artillery-based forms, her work is a wonderful fusion of East and West and displays a resonance of feeling rarely seen in porcelain work.

Sandra Black

Sandra Black

A ceramic artist and former art teacher, Black lives in South Fremantle, WA. She has concentrated on making works exploring the hard, translucent nature of porcelain clay since 1976, carving and piercing the small, patterned vessels, often leaving pieces unglazed. She has participated in approx. 130 solo exhibitions around Australia and exhibited extensively throughout the world. Her work is held in many public and private collections.

Emma Davies

Emma Davies

A Melbourne based designer who has pioneered the use of polypropylene materials such as vegetable packaging and bird netting to create light, lacy vessels that create intricate shadow play, Davies designs have evolved from an interest in weaving and a desire to produce beauty from unlikely materials. She has exhibited regularly throughout Australia, including the Woven Forms National Touring Exhibition, MPRG, 2006.

David Ray

David Ray

A Melbourne ceramic artist and BA of Fine Arts, Ray’s work shows an intense interest in classical forms, infused with a contemporary edge. His highly decorative, Baroque style pieces are layered with decal transfers and hand painted details, often using classic “Wedgwood” colours combined with precious metal trims. Ray has exhibited widely, and was a Feature Artist in the Melbourne International Arts Festival Visual Program 2005.

Gary Bish

Gary Bish

An Australian ceramic artist, who lives in Epsom, Victoria, Bish specialises in producing highly detailed vessels and jewellery using a wide range of techniques such as repeated motifs, patterns and applied text transfers on the raw and glazed surfaces of his works. He has exhibited throughout the world in both solo and group shows, won a number of awards and has works included in many public collections.
