Fiona Kelly McGregor has published eight books, most recently the historical crime novel Iris, nominated for many awards including the Miles Franklin, the NSW Premier’s and the Stella Prize. Previously, novel Indelible ink won Age Book of the Year and was published in French by Actes-Sud. McGregor’s non-fiction includes essay collection Buried not dead, shortlisted for the VPLA, genre-busting photoessay A novel idea, and a travel memoir about a performance art tour through Poland, Strange museums. McGregor writes about art for The Saturday Paper, Art Link, Art Monthly and more.
Janice Loreck is a Senior Lecturer in Screen Studies at the University of Melbourne. Her research focuses on women’s representation and filmmaking in global art cinema and experimental screen cultures. She is the author of Provocation in Women’s Filmmaking (2023) and Violent Women in Contemporary Cinema (2016). She is also an organiser of the Melbourne Women in Film Festival (MWFF).
Eugenia Raskopoulos, a Sydney-based artist born in the Czech Republic in 1959 and immigrated to Australia via Greece in 1963, explores identity, the body, language and translation through a multidisciplinary practice that includes photography, video, performance, neon and installation. Educated at Sydney College of the Arts and the University of New South Wales, her work has been exhibited internationally, including at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art in Japan, the National Gallery of Australia, and the 10th International Istanbul Biennial. Raskopoulos has been recognised with awards such as the Josephine Ulrich & Win Schubert Photography Award, and her works are held in major public and private collections worldwide. She is represented by MAIS WRIGHT.
Su san Cohn, a Melbourne-based jeweller and artist, navigates the art, craft, and design divide by exploring the value and typology of jewellery through influences like electronic media, street culture and futuristic visions. Born in Sydney in 1952, she studied at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Swinburne Institute of Technology, and the University of New South Wales. Her work has been widely exhibited, including at the National Gallery of Australia and the Design Museum, London and is held in major collections such as the Victoria & Albert Museum, London and the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris. Cohn is a recipient of the Australia Council Artist Award and an inductee into the Design Institute of Australia Hall of Fame.
