Rosie Westbrook at TarraWarra Museum of Art

Sunday 17 January 2016
2-4PM

Rosie Westbrook is a Melbourne-based multi-instrumentalist and composer. Classically trained in guitar and double bass, she has spent many years playing with contemporary rock bands, an influence which has lent an edginess and energy to her own compositions.Rosie’s passion for visual art has seen her write soundtracks for a number of documentary films about featured Australian artists and also to develop live performance installations inspired by particular artists.

For the exhibition Howard Arkley (and friends…) at TarraWarra, Rosie will create music that is inspired by and responds to various works in the exhibition – a touch of psychedelia; a nod to repetition and an obsession with patterns; a sparseness and delicacy echoing the minimalism of Arkley’s early black and white paintings; the immediacy and rawness of punk.

Free with Museum admission.
