The upper carpark is currently CLOSED until 4 March 2025. Thank you for your patience while current construction works take place. The Museum and grounds are still a beautiful destination and we look forward to welcoming you. Learn more about current parking conditions below.
Carpark
Please park in the large free lower carpark accessed via the compact gravel driveway when you enter the estate. Our courtesy van will be operating for your convenience if you require assistance to travel from the carpark up to the Museum. Or you can take in the surrounds through a leisurely stroll of the grounds to our doors. The upper carpark is currently CLOSED. The courtesy van runs regularly on weekends and is available during the week by calling 5957 3100 upon arrival.
Parking: Buses and Groups
All buses and coaches must park in the lower carpark. Please note there is no access for buses or coaches to drive or park in any driveways. If you are traveling with a group, please allow time to walk or travel in our 11 seat courtesy shuttle. Please book exhibition tours online and call 5957 3100 for any further information or enquiries.
Access for people with disabilities
Two disabled parking bays are available in the lower carpark. Visitors can travel from the carpark up to the Museum with our courtesy van. There are an additional two disabled parking bays adjacent to the TarraWarra Estate office via the winery road. These bays are best suited for wheelchair and walker access and are about 200m from our doors along a guided pathway. Visitors requiring wheelchair or mobility walker access are advised to call ahead so that we can personally organise access to the Museum. Call 5957 3100 for any further information and transport requirements. These parking conditions are temporary until the Eva and Marc Besen Centre opens this summer.
Parking with prams
Parents with prams are advised to walk up the winery road after parking in the lower carpark, for best pram-friendly access.
TarraWarra Museum of Art is located just 10 minutes drive from Healesville.
Take the Eastern Freeway out of Melbourne, then drive east along Maroondah Highway through Ringwood and Lilydale to Healesville.
Alternatively, visit Google Maps to plan your visit to TarraWarra via Yarra Glen or the scenic drives through Manningham (via Warrandyte) or Nillumbik (via Eltham)
Take the Tullamarine Freeway (M2) and then take the first major exit on your left — the M80/Western Ring Road (Hume Freeway/Greensborough direction). Continue on the Ring Road to Greensborough and take the left exit onto the Greensborough Highway. Take the exit for Kangaroo Ground-Wattle Glen Road. Continue to the end, turn right and take the first left into Eltham-Yarra Glen Road. From Yarra Glen, follow road signs to TarraWarra Museum of Art. Please check Google Maps before you head off.
Due to our outer metropolitan/regional location, it can be very difficult to locate a taxi or Uber once you have arrived in Healesville. If you plan on traveling with a group you can plan ahead and book a charter service.
A PTV bus stop right is conveniently located outside the main driveway of TarraWarra. To get here, you will first need to catch a train to Lilydale station. Check the PTV timetable to plan your trip and check our opening hours when planning your visit.
